Reeves Ends His Recruitment

The coaching change at Iowa State left Allen (TX) High School's Jeremy Reeves seriously considering a change in school's but after a few long discussions with new Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads he decided to remain a Cyclone.

"He says that he sees a ballplayer when he looks at my tape," said Reeves. "He said that my size is not an issue because of all the plays that I make. He told me that he just looked at my senior tape and that he was amazed at all the plays that I made."

The 5-foot-7, 150-pound cornerback says that his recruitment is completely done. "Coach Hawkins was trying to get me to come up for a visit to Colorado but I just decided that Iowa State was best for me," he said. "So when we talked last Friday I just told him that I was going to stay with my commitment. Everything is all done with my recruitment. I'm locked in and looking for big things to happen with Coach Rhoads."

Jeremy says that he can't wait to meet with his future position coach which will be happening this week. "I talked with Coach Ash and he's coming out to the house on Wednesday," said Reeves. "I can't wait to see him and to ask him some questions because I have heard that he's a great coach from some people. He told me that he wants me to come in early this summer and that if I work hard I could be competing for a job next season."
