What Position Will Moore Play?

Centennial (TX) High School's Aaron Moore took his official visit to Ames this weekend just a few days after committing to Iowa State. He was recruited as an offensive lineman but did his future position at Iowa State change during his visit?

"I talked to the coaches and they gave me a choice on where I could start out at and I chose defensive end," said Moore. "I really want to play defensive end so I'm going with that and we'll see how it goes. I went over the offense with Coach Bleil during my visit and they run the same type of offense as my high school so I'll have a heads up if I switch back to offense."

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound lineman feels that his visit this past weekend could not have gone better. "My host was Ben Lamaak and he's a great guy," said Moore. "He introduced me to a lot of the players and they all treat you like family. My dad also really loved. It was a lot better experience that what we had at Auburn."

Aaron has had four different Iowa State coaches come visit him at home and so he feels like he is really getting to know the staff well. He really looks forward to playing for Cyclone head coach Paul Rhoads. "He really seems like he has a grasp on things at Iowa State," he said. "We asked him numerous questions on the visit and he really provided great answers and not just what we wanted to hear. He would really give reasonable explanations for his responses and I just feel that there's a really good chance that he'll turn things around at Iowa State"
