During his visit Chim got to catch up with some of the Iowa State players. "I talked with Diante Garrett and Craig Brackins and they are both pretty good guys," he said. "I was just asking them about the game and they were asking me how I was doing with my season."
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound combo-guard is very excited about his commitment to Iowa State and says that he stays in touch with the staff on a regular basis. "The visit was real nice and the fan support here is great," said Kadima. "I'm just excited for the future at Iowa State. I talk with Coach T.J. (Otzelberger) about once every couple weeks and him and Coach McDermott came to see me play during my holiday tournament."
Chim had to sit out last year with a leg injury but he has returned to the court this year and continues to get better. "I'm averaging 20 points a game and I'm just approaching things differently than when I was younger," he said. "I feel like I'm reading defenses better. In the past I would just look to score but now I'm doing a better job of hitting the open man. Overall, we're 7-5 which shows that we're not doing as well as we expected. "
