Chasson Randle: The atmosphere was really good. I think because of how the game went it wasn't as loud as it can get from what I have heard. It was still really impressive to me.
CSR: Did you get to talk with any of the Cyclone players during your visit?
CR: Yeah, I talked with L.A. (Pomlee) and Craig Brackins and that was a lot of fun because Craig is pretty crazy. I've played against L.A. before and it was just good to hang out with them. I like them a lot.
CSR: Did you get to talk much with the coaches during the visit?
CR: I got to talk with Coach T.J. (Otzelberger) before the game and then I got a chance to talk with Coach Mac (McDermott) after the game and we had a good talk. He was just happy to see that I was there at the game and he told me that him and Coach Robinson were going to come see me play in the next few weeks. He also told me that he would like to see me in an Iowa State uniform.
CSR: I understand that future Cyclone Chris Colvin came and saw you play last weekend with his dad and Coach Robinson.
CR: It was a surprise which was really cool. One of our assistant coaches is a cousin of Chris and so they came to see our game. I talked with him after the game and we had a really good chat.
CSR: Is Iowa State a more attractive option now that you know Chris will be playing his college basketball there?
CR: Definitely, he's a great player and that would be great. It would really be cool to play with him in college.
CSR: What scholarship offers do you currently have and do you have a current leader?
CR: I have offers from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Iowa, and Bradley. If I made a list of favorites right now I would definitely have Iowa State at the top.
CSR: How important is your relationship with Coach Robinson?
CR: It's big because I've known him for a while and we have built a pretty strong relationship. We're both from Rock Island and I definitely trust him.
CSR: Are you close to making a final decision?
CR: Not really because I'm not trying to focus too much on my recruitment during the season. I'm just trying to have fun and win games.
CSR: How are things going for you and your Rock Island teammates?
CR: We just got a big win over Moline who was undefeated in conference. Early in the year we lost some close games but I feel that we have learned from them and now we are really looking forward to the postseason.
CSR: What do you think you have improved on the most this season?
CR: I would say my jump shot has really improved and I feel like I'm playing a lot more aggressive.
