Corey Campbell Update

David Garvin of Heartland Recruiting and TheInsiders gives Cyclone Nation an update on Houston (Texas) Westfield standout defensive back Corey Campbell, who recently took an official visit to Iowa State.

"I had great visits both to Iowa State and Arkansas," Corey Campbell told HR on Tuesday afternoon. "The Iowa State coaches said they wanted me as a corner first and Arkansas said they liked me as a free safety."

"(Former Spring Westfield OL) Tony (Ugoh) was my guest host at Arkansas," he added. "He should be a starter there next year."

Campbell was asked about his January visits.

"I will be going to Oklahoma on January 10th, Tennessee January 17th and LSU January 24th," he said.

Campbell was named the starting strong safety on Heartland's Big XII All-Region Team.
