Cyclones Targeting Florida Cornerback

The Iowa State coaching staff continues to recruit the state of Florida extremely hard. Recently they made an offer to N.Fort Meyers High School cornerback Tre Boston.

Cyclone Sports Report: When did Iowa State start recruiting you?

Tre Boston: Coach Burnham and his son came down to see me during the spring and then they offered about two weeks ago.

CSR: What did Coach Burnham tell you that he liked about your game?

TB: He said that he really liked my size and speed.

CSR: What is your current height and weight?

TB: I'm 6-foot-1 and I weigh 175 pounds.

CSR: What offers do have besides Iowa State?

TB: Cincinnati, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, North Carolina, Purdue, Marshall, and Middle Tennessee.

CSR: Do you have any favorites at the moment?

TB: I don't have one leader right now but I would say that Michigan State, Cincinnati, North Carolina, and Indiana are in the lead.

CSR: Have you taken any visits so far?

TB: I've been to Pitt, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Purdue, and Indiana.

CSR: How strong are you considering Iowa State?

TB: They are definitely in the mix but since I haven't been there yet I just don't know enough about them. They are talking to me about taking a visit there and hopefully I can in the next couple of months.

CSR: Do you have any other visits scheduled at this time?

TB: Next month I'll be going to Michigan State and also to North Carolina.

CSR: What are the most important things that you are taking into consideration before you make a final decision?

TB: Academics definitely come first and then I would say just the whole athletic program. The campus lifestyle and the production of players to the next level will also be taken into consideration.

CSR: Do you have a timetable for when you want to make a decision?

TB: I'm going to take all of my visits and then commit to the school where I feel most comfortable.
