Olabode Holds An Offer From Iowa State

Looking to add a second defensive back to their 2010 recruiting class, Iowa State has offered as a scholarship to Cedar Hill (TX) High School's Elisha Olabode.

"They offered me a few weeks ago," said Olabode. "Coach Wells came and saw me during some of my spring practices and we just started talking and then they offered me a scholarship a while after that. He's told me all about their new coaching staff and they have also sent me a lot of letters."

The 5-foot-10 defensive back says that Iowa State likes him at both positions while others are just targeting him at one. "Right now they say that I could be either a corner or a safety in their system but some schools are just targeting me as a corner or a safety," said Olabode. "I like playing both so it doesn't really matter to me."

Elisha also has offers from Arizona, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Louisiana Tech, SMU, Tulsa, Buffalo, and Kansas State. He has also taken in camps at Baylor and UTEP. While he hasn't taken any unofficial visits yet he feels he knows what will ultimately lead to him making a final decision. "I'm looking for a good education first and some place that will show a lot of love and treat me right while I'm there," he said.

Elisha is also not ready to make that final decision any time soon. "We'll see what happens over the next couple of months but I doubt that I will make any decision this summer," said Olabode. "I will likely take all five of my visits and then make a decision in the fall."
