Cyclones Targeting Texas Linebacker

Cyclone Sports Report talks with Klein (TX) High School's Kevin Kisseberth who recently was offered a scholarship by Iowa State.

Cyclone Sports Report: So which Iowa State coach have you had the most contact with?

Kevin Kisseberth: Coach Pope came down right after spring ball and then we just started talking. He's a real nice guy and we probably talk about once a week. Then a few weeks ago he had me call their head coach and they offered me a scholarship.

CSR: So you got to speak with Coach Rhoads?

KK: Yeah, I really liked him and you can tell that he really wants Iowa State to go places. I really enjoyed our conversation a lot.

CSR: What did he say they liked about you as a player?

KK: He said that when he watched my film that he noticed that my motor was always going. He also told me that he liked that I was a physical player and that I can take on any block.

CSR: What is your current height and weight?

KK: I'm 6-foot-2 and I weigh 216 pounds.

CSR: What other schools have offered you a scholarship?

KK: I have offers from Minnesota, New Mexico, Rice, Tulane, SMU, North Texas, UTEP, Tulsa, and Louisiana Tech.

CSR: Do you have any leaders at the moment?

KK: No, I'm pretty open but I definitely have in interest in Iowa State because they are my only Big 12 offer and I really like the Big 12.

CSR:Are you expecting to take a visit to Iowa State?

KK: Yeah, it's very likely that I will but I'm not sure yet because I don't know if I will take all five of my official visits. I'm going to wait to see what happens the rest of the summer and then narrow things down.
