ISU On Offense Against Iowa

The battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy has seen the home team win the last five games. What must the Iowa State offense do to keep this streak alive?

The Cyclone Sports Report Keys To Look For On Saturday Afternoon:

1)GET A-ROB THE BALL- It was very clear in game one that there will be very little rotation at running back for Iowa State and for good reason. Alexander Robinson makes things happen when the ball is in his hands so Coach Herman needs to get him involved running the ball and catching balls out of the backfield as much as possible. If the line can open some holes for him big things should happen on Saturday.

2)GET IN THE END ZONE- The Cyclones couldn't do this last year and if they expect to win on Saturday they can't settle for field goals. The offense really needs to execute in the red zone and put up a few touchdowns in the first half. The line will be key here because if they do their job Austen Arnaud should have a good chance to throw to one of his many weapons for a few scores.

3)IS HAMILTON THE MAN?-Marquis Hamilton played a great game last Thursday and had two touchdowns but he should have had three (dropped pass right in his hands from Darius Reynolds) and it will be very interesting to see how the senior does against a lot tougher secondary. If Hamilton continues to get open like he did against North Dakota State the Hawkeyes will likely be in for a very long day. By stepping up his game this year he could really make things a lot easier for other likely major contributors in Darius Darks, Sedrick Johnson, and Darius Reynolds.
