ISU On Offense Against Kansas State

Can Iowa State running back Alexander Robinson keep his game streak of rushing over 100 yards rolling this weekend in Kansas City?

The Cyclone Sports Report Three Keys To Look For On Saturday Afternoon:

1)TEST TIME FOR AUSTEN- Iowa State quarterback Austen Arnaud has been very solid in his last two games but he clearly failed in his only real test this season when the Cyclones took on Iowa three weeks ago. Now Austen begins the Big 12 season in a game that Iowa State likely MUST win if they want to even consider making a run at a bowl game this year. If the junior from Ames can come up big on Saturday it would be a huge boost to the offense and would likely allow the Cyclones to leave Kansas City with a victory. He must pass this test or things in Ames could go sour quickly.

2)THE BREAKOUT OF DARIUS DARKS-Darius Darks has followed up his outstanding freshman season that saw him catch 49 passes for 477 yards by catching only two passes for 13 yards this season. His injuries have been the main reason but he is clearly healthy now and a breakout game in Kansas City would be a huge boost to the Iowa State offense. This is a quality player who must be used more if Iowa State expects to succeed on offense.

3)KEEP THE A-ROB TRAIN ROLLING- The Iowa Sate offensive line leads the country in only having given up one sack so far this season. While that is a very impressive statistic it will be their run blocking that will be the key on Saturday in Kansas City. The Cyclones must continue to ride their outstanding running who now is second in the Big 12 in rushing with an average of 113.2 yards per game. If A_Rob hits his average expect a Cyclone victory.
