ISU On Offense Against Kansas

Will Cyclone fans see sophomore running back Bo Williams get his first significant amount of playing time due to Alexander Robinson's groin injury?

The Cyclone Sports Report Three Keys To Look For On Saturday Afternoon:

1)BO and JEREMIAH SHOW?-Coach Rhoads stated that Alexander Robinson might start and try to tough it out but it's very likely that Jeremiah Schwartz and Bo Williams will be the main ball carriers in Lawrence this weekend. Schwartz has looked solid at times this season in backing up Robinson but his two fumbles at Kent State definitely gave cause for concern. Florida transfer Bo Williams has not been able to fit into Coach Herman's offensive scheme yet but that will likely change this week. Coach Rhoads mentioned this week that Williams speed could lead to him getting more carries than Schwarz if Robinson can't go.

2)HERMAN'S BAG OF TRICKS-One thing we haven't seen much of this year is the Cyclone offense coming up with some creative trick plays. Going against a very tough opponent on the road is a perfect spot for Coach Herman to throw some unique wrinkles at Kansas. If they can score early they might have enough momentum to stay in the game against the Jayhawks.

3)SCORE TOUCHDOWNS-Kansas is averaging 40.5 points per game which is 6th in the country. If Iowa State does not put the ball in the end zone at least five times on Saturday they will likely not leave Lawrence with a victory. They are facing an explosive offense so in order to pull off the upset they would have to match Kansas touchdown for touchdown.
