Ricky Howard/Durrell Givens: The Chaffey College duo suffered a tough 24-13 loss to El Camino College this past Saturday. Tight end Ricky Howard had no catches and safety Durrell Givens sat out again with his foot injury. He is back at practice this week and expects to play next week following their bye this weekend. The two are excited about spending their bye week in Ames as they will be in attendance this Saturday on their official visit to Iowa State.
Jared Barnett: Lead Garland (TX) High School to a 35-7 victory moving their record to 5-1 and 14th ranking in the state. Jared was 16 of 22 for 246 yards and two touchdowns. This weekend they take on Rowlett High School.
Kirby Van Der Kamp: His West Des Moines (IA) Valley High School lost a tough one to Waukee 42-21 this past Friday. Due to two failures on fourth down and two other turnovers he only punted one time which went for 35 yard. This week he'll be punting against Fort Dodge.
T.J. McCullough: The Citra (FL) North Marion High School cornerback had an outstanding game as he helped lead his team to a 42-7 victory over Bellview High School. T.J. had 7 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and averaged 28 yards on two punt returns. This week they will try to move to 6-1 on the season against Newberry High School.
Tom Farniok: The Sioux Falls (SD) Washington center was once again taken out early along with the rest of the team's starters as they rolled to a 55-6 victory this past week. Tom was done early in the second quarter after they moved their early lead to 41-0. They are the top ranked team in South Dakota and will try to stay undefeated this weekend against Rapid City Stevens High School.
Cqulin Hubert: The Houston (TX) Eisenhower linebacker had 3 tackle for loss and 1 sack in his teams tough 20-13 loss against Humble High School. They are now 3-3 and will try to get back on the winning track this weekend against Nimitz High School.
Jacob Gannon: The Iowa City (IA) West offensive tackle helped his offense put up big numbers as they rolled over Dubuque Wahlert 35-0. This week they take on Xavier High School.
