ISU On Defense Against Oklahoma State

How will the Cyclone defense respond Saturday against the Cowboys after giving up 59 points against them a year ago.

The Cyclone Sports Report Three Keys To Look For on Saturday Afternoon:

1)STOP THE RUN-Despite their loss to Texas last week, the Cowboys still rushed for 139 yards against a Longhorn team that leads the nation in only giving up 41 rushing yards per week. Senior running back Keith Toston has rushed for 398 yards in four Big 12 games to lead the league in rushing during conference play. The Cyclones defense has shown improvement at times throughout Big 12 play and this Saturday will be another great test to see if they can step up in a big way.

2)MIX IN THE BLITZ- The Cowboys have given up the fewest amount of sacks of any school in the country this year led by All-American tackle Russell Okung. If Coach Burnham's defense can cause some confusion by mixing in some blitzes they might be able to put some pressure on Cowboys quarterback Zac Robinson.

3)DON'T LET ROBINSON GO OFF AGAIN- The big play has really hurt Iowa State at times this season and Iowa State simply can't let quarterback Zac Robinson go off on Saturday like he was able to last season. Robinson has the highest passer rating in the Big 12 at 147.88 and last year against the Cyclones he passed for 395 yards and completed touchdown passes of 80 and 95 yards.
