ISU On Defense Against Colorado

What does the Iowa State defense need to do on Saturday to help the Cyclones win their final home game of the season?

The Cyclone Sports Report Three Keys To Look For On Saturday Afternoon:

1)SACK THE QB!!- Colorado has allowed their quarterbacks to be sacked 36 times which is worst in the Big 12 and last week against Texas A&M, the Buffaloes offensive line gave up eight sacks. Coach Burnham needs to turn up the heat on Saturday and put a lot of pressure on sophomore quarterback Tyler Hansen.

2)WHERE ARE THE TURNOVERS?-The Cyclone defense forced Nebraska into eight turnovers in their exciting upset a few weeks back but they have only forced a total of two during their two losses the past two weeks. Colorado has turned the ball over 24 times this year which is the most in the Big 12. The Cyclones need to take advantage of this fact early and often on Saturday.

3)PLAY FOR FOUR QUARTERS-Colorado may only have three wins but last week they beat a Texas A&M team that easily handled Iowa State the week before. They also did by coming back from a 21-10 halftime deficit. This is the final home game for the seniors and this defense has to stay relentless for the entire game because Colorado has clearly proven that they won't roll over if they get down early.
