Reedy Names Top Three

St.Petersburg Lakewood (FL) High School athlete Bernard Reedy put up huge numbers during his senior season before a second round loss in the Florida state playoffs. Now he's looking to end his recruitment and he recently told Cyclone Sports Report that his main focus is on three schools.

"Right now my three favorites are Iowa State, Toledo, and Troy," said Reedy. "I have already visited Toledo and I might be taking a visit to Iowa State on January 15th but it's not set in stone yet. I also will be visiting Troy at some point in the future."

The 5-foot-8, 165-pound athlete with 4.4 speed gained a total of 3,375 all-purpose yards on offense but that is not the side of the ball that he would be playing on if he chooses the Cyclones. "They want me as a cornerback along with a punt and kick returner," said Reedy. "They are really building something at Iowa State and I think I could play a big part of it in the future."

Bernard likes the fact that the Iowa State roster includes many players from the state of Florida. "I know Leonard Johnson and he's told me it's a great program but he also told me that it's my choice in the end," said Reedy. "I also know Jarvis West and Jeremiah George and they also want to me to join them as part of the recruiting class but I'm not sure yet."

Reedy has been in contact with Iowa State on a consistent basis and says that he clearly knows where he stands with the Cyclones. "I talk mostly with Coach (Shane) Burnham and we have a very solid relationship," he said. "They really like my versatility as a player and what I can do in the open field with my speed. I really like Iowa State a lot but I'm want to wait to take all my visits and then I'll make my final decision."
