Cyclones looking to keep it in the family

Orlando (FL) Jones High School's Clim Robbins is very happy with his offer from Iowa State. So what has he learned about Iowa State from his cousin?

"My cousin is Willie Scott and he told me that it's real cold there but that he likes it a lot," said Robbins. "He told me that if you go and do your thing that you'll be okay. He's real comfortable there and he told me that I would like it at Iowa State."

The 5-foot-7, 157-pound cornerback who runs a 4.3 forty says that Iowa State is his top school right now and that he is also hearing from Mississippi State and Morgan State.

Clim says that he has enjoyed his contact with Iowa State defensive coordinator Wally Burnham. "We have talked a few times and I really like chatting with him," said Robbins. "He told me that they are coming down for my spring game on the 27th."

So what does the Cyclone staff like about Robbins?

"Coach Burnham told me that they saw my film and that they really like my footwork and that he feels my hips are good for a cornerback," said Robbins.

Clim had three interceptions last season and while Iowa State is his current leader he is not ready to make any kind of final decision right away.

"My parents and I are real excited about getting my first scholarship offer from Iowa State," he said. "But I'm not even thinking about picking a school yet. I'm just hitting the weight room trying to get better."
