Sullivan, Homan Honored for Academics

AMES, Iowa - The Big 12 Conference announced Wednesday that two Cyclones were named to the men's basketball academic all-Big 12 first team. Jake Sullivan and Jared Homan were two of 15 men's basketball student-athletes honored this season.

Sullivan (Oakdale, Minn.) was named to the first team for the second consecutive season. Homan (Remsen, Iowa) was named to the team for the first time. Sullivan, a junior in psychology, is the Cyclones' leading scorer with 18.2 points per game, while Homan, a sophomore in accounting, is second on the team in rebounds with 6.2 rebounds per game.

Selection to the academic first team requires a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. True freshmen and transfers are no longer eligible to receive recognition in their first year of competition.
