Florida offensive lineman takes in ISU camp

Giorgio Newberry wasn't the only player from Fort Pierce (FL) Central High School in Ames this weekend for Iowa State football camp. Offensive lineman Mike Marsaille joined his teammate for the event but did he leave Ames with a scholarship in hand?

"I didn't get an offer yet but I think I might in the future because they said they are real interested," said Marsaille. "They want to see more of my film and see how it transfers to the field."

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive lineman is considered very versatile.

"I played center during all of last year but I can play any position on the line," he said.

Mike is also being recruited by Rutgers, Western Kentucky, Florida State, Miami (Fla.), and Duke. He told Cyclone Sports Report that he was really impressed with the Iowa State coaches.

"I've mostly been talking with Coach Messingham and I like him a lot," said Marsaille. "I got to talk with Coach Rhoads during the weekend and he told me that he was going to talk things over with the line coach and that they would continue to recruit me. I really think Iowa State is a good place and I really liked what they had to offer as a school."
