Iowa State looking at Missouri wide receiver

O'Fallon (MO) Ft.Zumwalt West High School's Devonte Majors doesn't have a scholarship offer yet from Iowa State but he is being recruited by the Cyclones and his talents will be on display in Ames in late July.

"I'll be going up to visit Iowa State for their Friday Night Lights Camp," said Majors. "My coach sent them my tape and they liked so I have been getting recruited by Coach Barkema. He said that they like my size and my hands because they are looking for a big receiver."

The 6-foot-2, 216-pound wide receiver has offers from Illinois State and Western Illinois and has been very busy over the past few months.

"I went to camps at Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois last month," said Majors. "Then last weekend I was at Wisconsin and Northwestern. I'm also hearing from Ohio, Ball State, and Bowling Green. In July I'll be camping at Kansas State along with my trip to Iowa State."

Devonte is hoping to earn more scholarship offers throughout the summer and then end his recruitment.

"I want to make my decision before my senior season starts so that I can just focus on football," he said. "If things don't go my way during the summer then I'll probably end up waiting."
