Iowa Releases Two-Deeps for Arizona Game

Iowa's depth chart for this weekend's Arizona game was posted on Monday. Hawkeye Insider takes a look at the changes from last week's two-deep.

Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz released his depth chart on Monday for this weekend's game at Arizona.

The big changes occurred at middle linebacker and cornerback, where Jeff Tarpinian and Shaun Prater, respectively, were listed as starters for the first time in season, They opened up against Iowa State on Saturday after returning from injuries. Bruce Davis and Greg Castillo, who started Game 1 at MLB and CB, respectively, dropped down to the second team.

Sticking with the defense, true freshman Tanner Miller replaced Jack Swanson as the No. 2 free safety behind Brett Greenwood. Jordan Bernstine moved into a co-second-team spot at cornerback with William Lowe behind Micah Hyde as a result of Prater's return.

Eric Guthrie is listed as the sole second-team punter behind Ryan Donahue after sharing that spot with true freshman Jonny Mullings last week. Last year's starting kicker, Daniel Murray, is not listed on the two-deep after missing the first two games with a hip injury.

The skill position depth chart remained the same but there were some changes on the offensive line. Adam Gettis returned to the two-deep after missing the first two games due to a sprained ankle. He was listed as the No. 2 right guard behind freshman Nolan MacMillan.

Conor Boffeli was situated at No. 2 right guard on last week's depth chart. He was moved to No. 2 at left guard for Arizona with Matt Tobin falling off of the two-deep.
