Changes from Arizona Two-Deep: We'll start with the most pressing change:

Jewel Hampton went from co-No. 2 with Paki O'Meara to off the chart. O'Meara is the lone backup to starter Adam Robinson.

Hampton left Saturday's 34-27 loss at Arizona with a left knee injury and did not return. Coach Kirk Ferentz said on his TV show that aired Sunday night that his sophomore RB would be out for "a while". At that point, they were waiting an MRI.

Ferentz sounded more concerned about back-up MLB Bruce Davis Sunday night than he did Hampton. Davis also left with a knee injury after a special teams play. Ferentz said Davis' long term future, which I took to mean the rest of the season, did not look promising.

As a result, Troy Johnson is listed as the backup MLB to starter Jeff Tarpinian. Johnson also remained as the No. 2 LEO behind Tyler Nielsen.

In a minor change, Derrell Johnson-Koulianos went from sharing the starter line at wide receiver with Colin Sandeman to holding it by himself. The senior from Ohio caught seven passes for 114 yards and a TD against Arizona.

I thought we might have co-starters at right guard after Adam Gettis and Nolan MacMillan split Saturday's action. However, MacMillan still is listed as the starter with Gettis backing him up.

Daniel Murray, the No. 1 kicker in 2009, remains absent from the depth chart. The senior from Iowa City is dealing with a hip injury that has kept him out of the first three games.

Murray's replacement, Trent Mossbrucker, had an extra point blocked Saturday night and has not attempted a field goal this season.
