Pirsig has gotten mail from some of the usual suspects around his area, but has also heard from several southern schools who have gotten word of his talents.
He has taken four official visits this year: two to Wisconsin and two to Minnesota.
"I saw the Northern Illinois and Northwestern games at Minnesota," he reported. His first game at Wisconsin was their win over Arizona State, his second was last weekend's win over then #1 ranked Ohio State.
"It was crazy seeing everybody there. I didn't hear how many people were there, but I'm sure it was close to the record. It was a lot different than high school games, that's for sure. The O-Line coach talked to me quite a bit and I've gotten a lot of personal letters from every one of the coaches there including the head coach."
This week, Pirsig will head down to Iowa, his first trip there. The Hawkeyes have been flooding his mailbox and he is ready to see the campus in person.
"I've gotten a letter from them just about every week. I was down at the prospect camp last summer and I'm not sure what kind of interest they have, but I'm getting a lot of mail from them."
After that, Pirsig is not certain where his visits will be, but he is sure that he will keep checking out various colleges.
"I think maybe go down for another Iowa game, but I'm not sure if I'll go to another college. I kind of want to go to a Texas game, but I'm not sure on that."
