The Hawkeyes play host to No. 5 Michigan State this weekend and also a talented prospect from Maryland. Bishop McNamara High's Nicholas Law will use his first official visit to check out Iowa City.
recently narrowed his list to five schools. Maryland
, West Virginia
will all receive official visits from Law. He will be taking his first visit this coming weekend and will take the others soon. He also has a new school showing interest and if they offer it could change his top five.
""I'm visiting Iowa this Saturday the 30th," said Law. "It should be a great game against Michigan State. I am also hearing a lot from Michigan now."
Out of Law's final five, three schools have taken a slight lead over the other two but he still plans on visiting all five.
"I'm not really sure when I will take my other visits yet. Right now Maryland, Louisville and Iowa are on top but I want to take all my visits before and make sure before I make any final decisions. More than likely I will probably commit in a month or so."
Asked if a Michigan offer would change things, Law was quick to respond.
"I would definitely look at them. It's a great school so I would do more research but I would be interested."
Law is one of the top players in the region and has been selected to play in the Chesapeake Bowl.
