Injury Report - Jeff Tarpinian dressed for the first time since the Big Ten opener against Penn State. The senior linebacker has been suffering from a neck stinger. He did not start but played quite a bit in the 3-4.

Jeremiha Hunter also dressed after missing most of last week's second half with a leg injury. He did not start for the first time since last year's Minnesota game when he was out due to health. He did not see any action on Saturday.

Reserve defensive back Williams Lowe (ankle) missed the game with injury. He's been active on a few special teams units this season.

Adam Gettis left the game with an ankle injury in the third quarter.

Tyler Nielsen left the game in the second quarter with an undisclosed injury.

Julian Vandervelde left with an injury midway through the fourth quarter.

Asked about the injuries in his postgame press conference, Ferentz said everyone was fine. Lowe was the only one he felt might be questionable for next week.

-Adam Gettis started for a second week in a row at RG. Nolan MacMillan started the season's first six contests.

-Adam Robinson delivered a great block on Greg Jones during a Ricky Stanzi 26-yard scramble for a first down in the first quarter.

-Embattled MSU CB Chris L. Rucker entered the game in the second quarter. The senior was reinstated to the team Thursday, the same day he was released from jail after serving an eight-day sentence for parole violation.

-The Hawkeyes used various defensive alignments during Saturday's game. They employed a 3-4 on quite a few third and long situations. Tarpinian and Lance Tillison were in on those plays. They also used nickel with Greg Castillo as the extra DB.

-Robinson fumbled for the first time in his career in the fourth quarter. It was recovered by teammate Josh Koeppel.
