1.) Buy one get one free - It's the biggest gimmick in stores. Buy one item and get another free. HI has a better idea. Lock up the nation's No. 1 offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandijo and get 4-star defensive tackle Darian Cooper as well. The DeMatha teammates have talked about going to the same school before, but it's not the driving factor.
Last week, Kouandijo announced that his top five are Alabama, New Mexico, Iowa, Miami, New Mexico and Southern Cal in no particular order. The only school Cooper has an offer from as well is Iowa (Although I'm sure New Mexico would offer if he wanted).
With former teammate Marcus Coker getting playing time as a true freshman, the two should know Iowa has it's opportunities.
2.) Put down an early payment and you can take it home today - With Iowa reportedly losing Melvin Gordon earlier this week, the running back position is quickly becoming one of great need for the Hawks. They were expected to take two in the class and now have zero. Enter Rodney Coe.
The 4-star Illinois product has narrowed things down to a couple schools, with playing time a big factor in his decision. Iowa is selling him on the fact that he will play next season. Coe visited Iowa last week when they took on Ohio State.
"I can see myself playing in the Black and Gold," said the senior.
3.) Price marked wrong- Pennsylvania defensive back Dondi Kirby was a 4-star player heading into the year. A torn ACL in the summer more than likely has hurt his recruiting. He didn't lose any offers, but not many other teams jumped on board. He also dropped to a 3-star safety.
Kirby has already visited Iowa once and plans to take an official down the road. With his injury, Iowa isn't competing with as many teams.
