Hawkeye Insider publisher Rob Howe provides updates throughout before, during and after Iowa's game at Minnesota at TCF Stadium on Saturday.

-Minnesota wins 27-24.

Iowa finished the regular season at 7-5 overall and 4-4 in the Big Ten. Minnesota (3-9, 2-6)wins its last two conference games.

-Iowa gets the ball back at its own 20 after Minnesota moved the ball to the Hawkeye 40. Weber was flagged for an intentional grounding on third and long.

-Stanzi hits McNutt with 18-yard TD pass. Meyer kick. Iowa leads for the first time today, 24-20. Drive - 8 plays, 70 yards, 3:43.

11:35 to play in regulation.

-Minnesota leads 20-17 after three quarters. Hawkeyes will have the ball, first and 10 at the Gophers' 49 to start the fourth.

Total yards - MN 275, IA 153.

-Ugly "drive"for Iowa. Hawkeyes lose 12 yards and punt. Nice boot by Donahue gives Gophers first and 10 on their own 45.

Long run by Eskridge puts Minnesota on the Hawkeye 36. Eskridge fumbles on next play, forced by Binns, recovered by Greenwood.

-Hawkeyes force Minnesota punt. Iowa takes over at its own 14 with 3:43 left in the third quarter.

-Iowa forced to punt again. Donahue hits one down to the MN 18 with 7:34 to play in the third quarter.

Hawkeyes were moving the ball on that drive until Minnesota threw Paul Chaney for a loss on second setting up a third and long. Stanzi fired incomplete to Reisner over the middle.

Iowa has 139 yards of offense.

-Each team with one possession so far in second half. Traded punts. Iowa first and 10 on its own 17. 10:34 left in the third quarter.

-Minnesota leads 20-17 at the half. The Hawkeyes receive the opening kickoff of the second half.

The Golden Gophers accumulated 202 yards in the first half, while Iowa had 103.

Marcus Coker rushed nine times for 33 yards in the opening half. Ricky Stanzi completed 6 of 10 passes for 64 yards and a TD.

Hunter leads Iowa with seven tackles. Sash has six stops.

-Meyer 35-yard FG, 20-17 Minnesota, :50 to play before halftime. Scoring drive - 9 plays, 42 yards, 4:45.

-35-yd FG from Ellestad extends Minn lead to 20-14 with 5:35 to play in the first half. Drive goes 11 plays, 45 yards, 6:29.

Gophers have 3, 11-play scoring drives today.

Iowa responds with 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from DJK. 17-14 Minnesota with 11:30 to play before halftime.

-Minnesota takes a 17-7 lead. Two plays, 23 yards, :51. Eskridge 11-yard TD run.

-Iowa defense forces punt. Stanzi fumbles. Minnesota recovers at Iowa 23.

-Iowa offense responds with a long drive for a TD. Stanzi to DJK from seven yards out.

10-7 Minnesota with 14:53 to play in the second quarter.

-Prater and Hunter both went to the sideline with injuries on the last series. Prater went to the locker room.

After onside kick, Minnesota travels 58 yards in 11 plays taking 4:30 off the clock, Gray 14-yard TD run. 10-0 Minnesota. 5:44 to play in the first quarter.

It was Gray's first rushing TD of his career.

Minnesota has run 22 offensive plays to Iowa's zero.

-Prater left the game with an apparent leg injury.

-Minnesota won the toss and elected to receive. Good move.

Gophers use 11 plays to travel 58 yards in 4:45. Eric Ellestad connects on 26-yard FG with 10:15 to play in the first quarter.

Ellestad then recovers his own on-side kick and his driving again.

-It looks like Colin Sandeman will start in place of Derrell Johnson-Koulianos. Don't know why, yet.

-William Lowe (ankle) dressed for the first time in a long time. Could be a boost in special teams.

Adam Gettis and Nolan MacMillan both dressed for a second week in a row, but it appears Josh Koeppel will get his fourth start in a row at RG.

-It's cold.
