Kouandjio Knocks One Off List

DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) senior offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio has informed HI of a change in his recruitment. Come inside for the latest.

DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) senior offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio is the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country.

Ten days ago, Kouandjio informed Scout.com of his top five: Iowa, Alabama, New Mexico, USC, and Miami (in no particular order).

Now there has been a change to the list.

Kouandjio telling HawkeyeInsider.com that Miami has been eliminated.

"I'm replacing it with Auburn," said the offensive tackle.

Miami recently hired Temple's Al Golden to be their head coach, but Golden wasn't exactly the man the DeMatha product was hoping for. When announcing his favorites, Kouandjio informed Scout.com he was unsure about Miami, and now it appears they are out of the running for good.

Kouandjio will be visiting Iowa with fellow teammate Darian Cooper. Cooper is a four-star defensive tackle.

Iowa fans hope that the chance of playing together and alongside former teammate Marcus Coker (Iowa Fr. RB) will entice the two to sign with Iowa in the future.
