Hendy Talks Iowa Visit

Former Maryland verbal Jeremiah Hendy opened up his recruitment and used an official visit to see Iowa over the weekend. The defensive back from the East has the Hawkeyes in his Top 4.

Jeremiah Hendy is back to square one with his recruiting. He has a new list of favorites and will be taking visits and deciding sometime after his last visit in January.

"I am not committed to Maryland anymore," said Hendy. "After my visit to Iowa I decided to start from the beginning with my recruiting and look at some other schools. I may look at Maryland again depending on who they hire as the new coach but right now they are not really on my list anymore."

Hendy had stated that he was solid with the Terps just a few days ago but the coaching uncertainty and a good trip to Iowa has changed his outlook.

"I went to Iowa this past weekend. I really like the coaches. Head Coach (Kirk) Ferentz has signed a new contract through 2020 and they have sent the last 75 of 82 starters to the NFL. The campus is real nice and it is a good school. I had a good time."

Hendy has named a new top four of his desired colleges.

"My top teams now are Iowa, Virginia, North Carolina State and Michigan State. I go to Virginia on January 21st and hope to get to Michigan State and North Carolina State as well."

Iowa and Virginia have already offered Hendy. North Carolina State and Michigan State have yet to offer.
