"I think I'm the biggest hitter in the state of Minnesota," said Webb. "I can make plays at pretty much any time. I don't know how to explain it, but I can make plays. People will see on my tape."
Until his highlight tape is released next week, fans will have to take Webb's word on it, but Minnetonka coaches will tell you the same thing.
Currently the junior (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) is receiving interest from Iowa, Syracuse, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Cincinnati. As one of the state of Minnesota's best 2012 talents, it's a surprise he has yet to hear from the Gophers.
"I really wanted to talk to them. It's close to home and even though it's cold, I've always been interested in the program. I'm sort of surprised," said Webb. "I wouldn't say I have any favorites, but I have always liked Wisconsin and Iowa. I'm a Big Ten guy. A lot of my family is from Wisconsin and Iowa, so I'm all over the place. But yeah, it's sort of a disgrace to like those two schools and be a Gopher fan.(laughter).
"When I go to make a decision, first I want to see what their football team is all about. Then my mom is going to make me look at academics (laughter). But it will mostly come down to a football decision....I think Cincinnati and possibly Syracuse could be close to offering."
The safety will attend camps at Iowa and Wisconsin this off-season, hoping to impress the coaching staffs enough for an offer.
Webb made it to Iowa City for the Wisconsin/Iowa game earlier this year. While the Hawks weren't able to impress Webb with a win, he did leave Iowa City surprised by what he saw.
"Iowa has some really nice facilities, which was pretty awesome. It was crazy. There were a lot more people than we play around here in high school. The fans were crazy. It was cool to see. The campus was really, really nice.
"I actually arrived late, so I didn't get much interaction with the coaches. I drove down there pretty late, but I'm going to probably go down there again pretty soon."
Webb is expected to have his highlights done early next week and HawkeyeInsider.com will provide fans with them when they are released.
