Harrington Shuffles Visits

Sherrard Harrington is heading West to check out some possible college destinations. The first trip will be to Colorado this weekend.

Sherrard Harrington is hearing speculation that Iowa is no longer interested in his services. The D.C. cornerback said it's incorrect information.

"That's false," Harrington said. "I haven't heard anything like that and neither has my coach. I don't know where people get that stuff from. I try not to get caught up on any of that."

Harrington tentatively scheduled a visit to Iowa City for this coming weekend. That has changed. He has set up an official to Colorado starting on Friday.

"I bounced the Iowa visit back because it just works out better," Harrington said. "My friend Cyrus Kouandjio (Dematha) and another friend (Darian Cooper) are visiting that weekend. It just made more sense."

Harrington said that his Iowa visit is not finalized and things could change.

"But it won't be because of lost interest on my part or theirs," he said. "It's more of a timing issue."

Harrington has completed enough high school course work to enroll in college this month. He wanted that to happen but he's become more flexible to the idea of waiting until the summer.

"Obviously, it might not be possible," Harrington said of early enrollment. "That's fine with me. It gives me more time with my family. I can graduate with the rest of my class and finish school like a regular senior. It might work out for the best."
