"Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to sign tomorrow because of my SAT scores. I'm waiting for my scores to come in next week. I need a 800, so if I make the score I'm in. That is not that hard," said Vincent to HawkeyeInsider.com. "I'm really disappointed that I couldn't sign. I should have taken care of my business my junior year, but I wasn't really worried about the test. I don't know why. It was a mistake on my part to let it slip my mind.
"I was supposed to take it in October, but the night before I broke my leg in my game for DeSoto. I showed up about 15 minutes late to take the test(due to being up all night) and the instructor wouldn't let me start it late. So I had to wait until the next one. It hurts, but I'm just praying right now that I can make the score and still have a spot."
A down-field threat as a receiver, the 2011 Iowa commitment said the coaching staff was "disappointed" in his decision to wait until the 11th hour to get academically qualified.
"They are going to get in touch with my coach next week when my tests come in, so to tell you the truth I really don't know what is going to happen."
Vincent has informed HI that once he knows his academic situation, he will inform us. Stay tuned!
