Williams Gets First Offer

One player that has benefited from coaches shifting their focus to the 2012 class is Allen running back Jonathan Williams, who has picked up his first offer.

With the 2011 recruiting class in the books for the most part, college coaches everywhere are wasting no time on getting out offers to 2012 targets now.

One player that has benefited from coaches shifting their focus is Allen running back Jonathan Williams, who has picked up his first offer.

"I will never forget this day...Mizzou," wrote Williams on his Facebook page. Later in the day, Scout.com reached out to the junior to confirm that he had an offer.

"I got a call from my coach saying they offered, but he said they cant talk to us this week because of signing day," said Williams on Tuesday night. "I'm going to call Coach Pinkel on Monday and he's going to officially tell me then.

"I have been pretty interested in them ever since Brad McNulty committed there."

Williams rushed for 2,078 yards last season, finding the end zone 19 times.

He is currently also receiving interest from Iowa, Houston, Iowa State, SMU, Rice, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.
