Bernstine Hears From New Dream School

Lincoln HS (IA) star Keevon Bernstine is gaining interest from new programs and knows his summer camp performance this year could play a huge factor in his recruitment.

Lincoln HS (IA) star Keevon Bernstine has always been a UCLA fan, ever since he was a little boy, and earlier this week one of his dreams came true.

"I got a letter from them yesterday," said Bernstine. "I was really excited. It's always been one of my favorites. I'm just really happy with the news that I got. I also heard from Iowa State. They want me to come to their junior day."

No college programs have put an offer on the table, but the brother of Iowa Hawkeye defensive back Jordan Bernstine has been hearing plenty of schools, who want him to show up camps this summer.

"I know a lot of people who have offers went to camps last year. I never did that. So my recruitment is going to be fine. Teams just want to see me," said the 2012 prospect. "I'm going to the Colorado camp, the Texas A&M one, I've been invited to the USC camp, the Iowa State one, and probably a couple more.

"My coach I know is talking to a few schools about me, so I expect something to happen soon."

One of the Des Moines Metro's best running backs, Bernstine rushed for over 1193 yards on 19 touchdowns, averaging nearly 10 yards a carry in 2010.

The CIML coaches voted him on the elite CIML All-Defensive team.
