Lunt says Iowa will evaluate him

Could Wes Lunt be the next 2012 quarterback to get an Iowa offer? Come inside as the talented Illinois product talks about where he is at in his recruitment with the Hawkeyes.

With reportedly five offers now in hand, Rochester (Ill.) quarterback Wes Lunt is quickly becoming a big name in the Midwest.

Iowa's 2012 QB Offers:
Gunner Kiel: 4-star prospect who has offers from over 30 schools

Zeke Pike: 4-star prospect who has almost as many offers as Kiel, but has been mentioning Iowa in interviews.
The 6-foot-5, 190 pound signal-caller passed for over 3000 yards and 30 touchdowns last season as a junior, only throwing four interceptions.

Iowa has already extended two known scholarship offers to 2012 quarterbacks, but could a third be going out soon?

"Coach Erb is my recruiting coach at Iowa," said Lunt to HawkeyeInsider.com. "I'm a pro-style type of guy, so I could fit in really well there he has said. They are going to come down and watch me throw and I might make it up there for a spring practice. That is sort of where I'm at with Iowa right now.

"Pretty much everyone is wide open right now. I'm trying to learn more about each school, each system, and the coaching staff at all the schools. I'm just trying to take it all in right now."

Lunt who picked up fifth offer from Michigan State on Sunday (attended junior day), already had offers reportedly from Illinois, Boston College, Western Michigan, and SMU.

While he says "education, the coaching personnel, and the type of offense they run" will be huge factors into his decision, location could be the biggest.

"It's pretty important to me. I would like my parents to be able to come to as many games as they could during my career. It's sort of a big for me."

Lunt has plans to visit Wisconsin in the coming weeks, after missing their junior day a week ago.
