Guerrero Still Looking

Cezar Guerrero said he liked his trip to Iowa last weekend. He'd still like to use his final official visit before deciding on a school.

Cezar Guerrero wants to see more. Despite enjoying his official visits so far, the 2011 point guard feels like he wants to take another trip.

"I want to use my last visit," the 6-foot, 170-pound Southern California product said. "I'll meet with my brother. If he says yes, I'll go. If he says no, that will be it."

Joe Guerrero advises his younger brother.

"I really liked all the schools I've seen so far, but why not take another look?," Cezar said.

Cezar said Miami would be the likely destination for his fifth and final official visit allowed by NCAA rules. He also is considering Marquette, Florida State and Kansas. The Jayhawks are the only school in the group yet to offer a scholarship.

Guerrero originally committed to Western Kentucky last year before deciding not to sign his letter of intent in November. He used his first official visit to that school. He has visited Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Iowa in the last few months.

Iowa put on a good show for Guerrero last weekend. He looked on as the Hawkeyes upset then-No. 6 Purdue, 67-65, on Saturday.

"I had a great, great time," Guerrero said. "It was way more than just cornfields and farms. I liked it a lot."

Guerrero felt like he could fit nicely into the Iowa system.

"I think I fit well into all the systems at the schools I'm looking at," he said. Guerrero believes he can add something to the Hawkeyes.

"I can bring a lot of energy and excitement," he said. "I know the crowd was really into it and bringing energy and (Bryce) Cartwright does a nice job, but I can get it going faster. I can energize it."

Guerrero said he was most impressed with the people in Iowa.

"They just made you feel at home," he said. "They really love the players and the team. I know I'd be taken care of."

As much as he liked his Iowa visit, Guerrero said he's got a tough decision ahead of him.

"I can't even put the schools in a list with a favorite," he said. "I like them all the same. I know I'm going to have a hard time picking one."

Guerrero said he's not in a rush to make a decision.

"We'll see," he said. "It could be soon. But I want to take the other visit. If that happens, then I'll sit down with my brother and we'll see where we are."
