Iowa City West athlete Charles Rogers has one offer at this point. He feels, he's just a short time away from receiving more.

"Once I start getting out my defensive film and it circulates to coaches, I think the offers for defense will start to come in. Also, one I show up to camps and the coaches can see me move around, things will start to happen," stated the junior to Scout.com on Sunday afternoon. "I'm planning on going to camps at Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, Michigan State, Minnesota, and probably Oklahoma for a one-day camp."

On Saturday, he was one state over in Lincoln. Taking in the Nebraska Cornhuskers first scrimmage of the spring.

"I liked it. They looked pretty good out there. I was also able to meet Coach Raymond. He wants me to come back for their camp," said Rogers. "I had been there once before for the Colorado game the day after Thanksgiving.

"I haven't see much of the campus on the first two visits. I think that I'm going to go back on another unofficial visit before this summer starts. At that point, I will get to see the campus and learn more about the rest of the school."

At Iowa City West, the talented 2012 prospect plays quarterback and defensive back.. In ten games, he accumulated over 2000 combined yards on the ground and through air, with 15 touchdowns.

"Everybody is even right now. The coaching staff will be the biggest thing I look for. Also I want a place with strong academics," said Rogers who is also still being recruited by his hometown team.

"Iowa has been sending me some mail and wants me to come back to campus for another junior day. I'm probably going to do that and sometime during their spring practices, I'm planning on hitting up a spring practice. I would say they at this point are recruiting me just as hard as before."

Rogers already has an offer from Iowa State and is seeing interest from mostly Midwest schools.
