Glover Finalizes Iowa Visit

A lot of things were up in the air regarding Matt Glover's recruiting plans this week. The picture cleared up on Tuesday afternoon and Hawkeye Insider has the latest.

It's been a wild few days for Matt Glover. The JUCO point guard didn't know who was coming or where he was going.

It turns out that Glover could remain at Sheridan College this weekend and not have any schools come to see him work out…but it's only Tuesday.

A few things did clear up in his recruitment, however.

-UCLA has pulled out of the mix for the California native's services. The Bruins were set to come out to watch Glover work out on Friday but after reviewing academic transcripts discovered he would not be admitted to the school, he said.

-Glover finalized arrangements for an official visit to the University of Iowa. It's scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 21. The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder said he doesn't think he has a scholarship offer from the Hawkeyes at this point.

Rutgers also inquired about Glover with a phone call on Monday night, he said. The Scarlett Knights were considering a trip out to Sheridan this weekend to see the guard work out.

"They told me that have a few spots that opened up because of injuries," Glover said.

Oklahoma called and talked to an Sheridan assistant Monday night. The new Sooners staff was recruiting Glover at their previous home, UNLV.

Glover has officially visited Utah State and Nebraska.
