Ojemudia Talks Iowa Offer

One of the top defensive ends in the country received an Iowa offer this week. Michigan defensive end Mario Ojemudia speaks about his recruitment.

This week, Iowa jumped into the crowd of Mario Ojemudia pursuers by offering the 2012 Michigan DE a scholarship. Turned out, the Hawkeyes had some catching up to do.

"Right now, I have a Top 3," the four-star prospect from Farmington Hills, Mich. said. "I like Michigan, Stanford and Michigan State. That could change if I got an offer from a school I really like, like Penn State or Ohio State."

"But those three schools are my priority right now. I also like Iowa and Missouri. They'd probably be my next two."

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Ojemudia attended Michigan's spring game. He planned to take more trips this spring and summer but had not yet set the dates. He said that he wanted to get out to Stanford and Michigan State.

Iowa is just starting to build a relationship with Ojemudia with Phil Parker leading the charge.

"I've only met him once and we didn't talk a lot, but he was really enthusiastic about what they doing on defense and they always have a good one," Ojemudia said.

Ojemudia said he will make his college choice before his senior season begins, most likely sometime this summer.
