IOWA CITY, IA – University of Iowa offensive lineman Robert Gallery and placekicker Nate Kaeding have been named to the prestigious Playboy magazine pre-season all-America team. And, Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz has been named Playboy's 2003 Coach of the Year.

Gallery and Kaeding, both seniors, become the 12th and 13th Iowa players named to the Playboy pre-season all-America team. Ferentz is the third Iowa coach to gain the magazine's Coach of the Year honor, joining Forest Evashevski (1957) and Jerry Burns (1965).

Gallery, a 6-7, 317-pounder from Masonville, IA, is an offensive tackle. He's considered a leading candidate for the 2003 Outland and Lombardi Awards. He was a first-team all-Big Ten selection last season.

Kaeding, a 6-0, 180-pounder from Iowa City, IA, won the 2002 Lou Groza Trophy as college football's top placekicker. He was also named to four first all-America teams.

Ferentz, Gallery and Kaeding will join the rest of the Playboy pre-season all-America team in Phoenix, AZ, for a photo shoot May 9-11.
