Injury Report: Tyler Nielsen, who missed three quarters of last week's game with a gimpy ankle, returned to the staring lineup on Saturday.

Adam Gettis said he was slowed by some nagging injuries. Marcus Coker said he's sore. Both played a lot on Saturday.

Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz said on Tuesday that B.J. Lowery and Nolan MacMillan have a chance to get back into game action for the Penn State game in two weeks.

-Iowa wore green tape on its helmets in support of hospitalized former Hawkeye, Brett Greenwood. The cheerleaders placed green ribbons in their hair. Many people in the stadium were donned in green.

-Iowa used a rotation at guard on Saturday. Matt Tobin, Adam Gettis and Brandon Scherff shared the two spots.

-Iowa played two more true freshman on Saturday, pushing the total to 10 of them used this season. Jordan Canzeri got in at running back and Quinton Alston played middle linebacker in the closing minutes.

-Thomas Nardo was put on scholarship in the spring. He led Iowa with 12 tackles on Saturday, including a half sack and two stops for loss.

-Louisiana-Monroe's 293 passing yards on Saturday were the most its thrown for this season.

-Iowa has scored at least 30 points in four straight games for the first time since 2002, when it ran the table in the Big Ten and made the Orange Bowl.

-ULM won the coin toss and kicked off. The Hawkeyes drove it the length of the field for a touchdown.

-Marvin McNutt caught two touchdown passes on Saturday to move within one scoring catch of the Iowa career record. Tim Dwight and Danan Hughes are tied for the all-time mark of 21.

-The Hawkeyes punted twice on Saturday.

-Lebron Daniel, who lost his starting job to Dominic Alvis last week, recorded a career-best four tackles, including 1.5 sacks and 1.5 stops for loss.

-Zach Derby started the first game of his Iowa career. He replaced Brad Herman, who opended the first three games of the season at tight end.

-Keenan Davis hauled in a scoring pass for the third straight game.
