Wild Week for Jackson

Terrell Jackson's recruitment has picked up late in the process. With that, the Class of 2012 DT is experiencing a crazy ride. Get the latest on his recruitment right here.

Class of 2012 DT Terrell Jackson has rode a roller-coaster of emotions this week. With signing day approaching, the Columbus, Ohio native is going down to the wire to make his decision.

Jackson was offered a scholarship by Iowa on Saturday. He then got a call from the school he favored, Michigan State, on Tuesday saying the Spartans likely wouldn't have an offer left for him.

At that point, Jackson said he set up an official visit with Iowa. Then, he got a call from the Hawkeyes on Thursday saying they weren't sure if they had a scholarship offer from him because they got a commitment from a defensive lineman (Jaleel Johnson and/or Robert Caldwell?).

Later on Thursday, Michigan State, who was pursuing Johnson, called a relative of Jackson's to say it might have an offer for him. The Spartans were going to call him tonight to see if they had the opportunity for him.

"It might sound crazy to you, but think how I feel," Jackson said. "This is crazy."

Jackson has officially visited Pittsburgh and Illinois. He said he enjoyed both trips and likes both schools.

"We'll have to see what I hear tonight from Michigan State and then what Iowa has to say," Jackson said. "My head is spinning right now."

Jackson is rated as a three-star recruit by Scout.com, which lists him as the 66th best DT nationally in the 2012 Class.
