One of the nation's elite offensive tackle prospects is Brett Gallimore from Park Bille (Mo.) Park Hill South High School. Gallimore, 6-5 and 290 pounds, plays right tackle and is a dominating force. Last season as a junior, he recorded 91 pancake blocks.
"I can hook (defensive) ends, chase down linebackers, and block in open space," Gallimore said. "We really don't throw the ball that much but I feel pretty good about pass protection. Some of my (high school) coaches have a great background and they have been working with me on pass protection."
According to Gallimore, he is now up to 27 scholarship offers including offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State, Iowa, Oregon, Purdue, Tennessee and Missouri.
"I had no idea it would be like this. To be honest with you, I didn't really even think I had that great of a junior season."
Gallimore has already visited Michigan back in May. He was go back to Michigan for an unofficial visit this summer as well as Ohio State, Oregon, UCLA, Florida, FSU, Miami, Purdue, and Tennessee. He has also unofficially visited Kansas State, Kansas State, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
"Right now, it will boil down to my visits and I need to see what is out there. I really want to get to know these coaches staffs and find the place where I feel comfortable. I hope to narrow it down to 10 schools by mid-July. I am really keeping it wide open right now."
