Gettis Getting Noticed

Iowa senior Adam Gettis flew under the radar of pro scouts until he attended the NFL Combine last month. The Illinois native turned heads with his performance and put his name on the map. Find out what teams for which he's worked out, who's next on that list, how he feels about the young O-Linemen in the Hawkeye program and more in this exclusive interview.

Iowa CITY, Iowa - Kirk Ferentz opened eyes with a comment offered up during August camp in 2010. The Iowa Coach predicted junior Adam Gettis would be one of the better guards in the Big Ten despite the Illinois native having played very little in games to that point.

Injuries hit Gettis throughout that season and he never got to show the ability his coach saw in him. Some outsiders wondered if he'd be able to hold off a talented group of youngsters to start as a senior.

Gettis displayed the skill that led Ferentz to compliment the Illinois native before the '10 campaign. While it was a solid senior year, it wasn't one that turned the heads of most fans and scouts.

No, Gettis got people talking with a strong performance at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis during February. From running the 40 to the broad jump, the 6-foot2, 293-pound had people talking.

Gettis isn't letting any of the chatter go to his head. After working out in Arizona leading up to the combine, he returned to Iowa City for a recent pro day and is finishing up his training at the Hawkeye Football Complex.

Watch what Gettis has to say about the pre-draft process, which teams are showing him the most interest, what he sees in the young offensive linemen in the Iowa program and more in this exclusive video interview:
