Arrington Names Top Four Schools

Many would believe Adrian Arrington to be a lock for the Iowa Hawkeyes, but could the native of Cedar Rapids, a mere half hour away from Iowa City, actually be looking for new scenery? Arrington addresses that issue and names his top schools.

There are not too many wide receivers better than Adrian Arrington on the prep level in 2003. In fact, some schools have Arrington at top of their receiver wish list.

"Michigan, UCLA, Iowa, and Oklahoma are my favorite schools right now," Adrian said. "In fact, I'd say Michigan and UCLA have an edge. I'm still considering Kansas State and a few others right now, and would like to take a visit down to one of the Florida schools if they decide to offer."

So do the local Hawkeyes stand a chance?

"Right now, I'd like to get away from home. I love the coaches at Iowa, and if they were anywhere else then that is where I'd be going. I know a lot about the school, but I'll still be making a couple more visits."

Certainly, Coach Kirk Ferentz and staff will be not be ready to give up on the local phenom. However, plenty of others seem to ready to put up a big fight.

"I'll be officially visiting all my top schools before making a decision. I set up an official visit to Iowa for December 19th thru the 21st, but I'm not sure if I'll actually use an official since they are so close."
