Rob Report: Wisconsin

Injury updates, Dressed Lists, Special Teams units, New and Notes from Saturday's game against Wisconsin.

Iowa CITY, Iowa - The Rob Report is back for its 11th season of Hawkeyes football. Today we look at Iowa 's 28-9, Week 10 loss against Wisconsin at Kinnick Stadium.

-Dominica Alvis, who left the Michigan State game with an injury and was knocked out early in the Ohio State contest two weeks ago did not dress for a second week in a row. The senior defensive end is dealing with a back injury and is day to day.

-Starting Quarterback Jake Rudock left Saturday's game in the third quarter after being hit in the end zone on a ball that would be intercepted. He did not return, although Coach Kirk Ferentz said the sophomore could have done so after missing a series or two.

"Jake got twisted around there a little bit, so he's got a sprain, and it didn't seem like a good idea to put him back in," Ferentz said. "He could have gone back in, but it didn't seem smart to put him back in at that point."

The coach said that running back Mark Weisman also suffered an undisclosed injury and that was part of the reason why he turned to seldom used Jordan Canzeri.

"Mark was nicked up today and couldn't finish the game," Ferentz said. "So the other thought was there to just maybe give Jordan a chance to give us a spark, which he did."

Ferentz expected that Rudock and Weisman would be available for next week's game at Purdue.

"I think (Rudock) and Mark (Weisman) both should be back with us on Tuesday," Ferentz said. "Jake could have gone back in the game, but it didn't seem a prudent thing to do at that point."

Starting right guard Jordan Walsh suffered a right leg injury in the second quarter and did not return. We did not get an update on his status during the coach's press conference (media fail).

Johnny Lowdermilk limped off of the field and missed a few plays but returned to action.

-The Combined record of the four teams to defeat Iowa this season is 32-3 (includes non-AQ NIU). The five Hawkeye wins have come against schools with a combined 17-28 mark (includes FCS MO st.).

-Iowa was minus-1 in turnovers Saturday. The Hawkeyes are 0-4 when losing the turnover margin (Northern Illinois, -2; Michigan State, -1, at Ohio State, -1, vs. Wisconsin, -1). The Hawkeyes are plus-1 overall this season.

-K Mike Meyer kicked three field goals today (28, 22, 29). He now has 300 career points. He is only the second player in program history to score 300 or more points (Nate Kaeding, 373).

-True freshen Ike Boettger of Cedar Falls warmed up with the offensive linemen during Saturday's pre-game. He previously had been getting loose with the tight ends before contests.

-TE C.J. Fiedorowicz caught one pass Saturday to extend his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 27. Fiedorowicz has 77 catches for 337 yards over the last 27 games, and has caught all eight career touchdowns during the streak.
