Brown Sees Fit At Iowa

2015 DeKalb (IL) running back Dre Brown has yet to earn an offer from the Hawkeyes but thinks they'd be a great fit for his playing style.

Junior running back Dre Brown has collected four offers so far that includes nearby schools Illinois and Northern Illinois.

The DeKalb (IL) prospect has received interest from Iowa and was in Iowa City on Saturday for the Hawkeyes' victory over Michigan.

"It was a good trip," Brown said. "It was really cold but it was fun."

"I just liked being back up there," he added. "It's a nice campus. I got to talk to Coach (Jim) Reid before I leave. He visited my school a few weeks ago but he said he would be back to my school soon."

Brown discussed what the Iowa coaching staff has told him thus far about a possible offer.

"Coach Reid said he liked my film a lot," he explained. "They're still focusing on the 2014 class but hopefully after that I'll see them come after me harder."

The Iowa performance on Saturday impressed Brown and he feels like he'd be a fit for their offensive scheme.

"I thought it was great," he said of the way the team played. "I like how they play and that they don't give up. Their style of play is nice. I like their attitude."

"I was there to get an overall feel for their offense," he continued. "They run a pro-style offense. They have a running back that fits my style in Bullock so I liked that. I'd fit in their offense."

Brown is unsure of any other visits he will take anytime soon. His basketball season has started and knows that it will take some of his time preventing him from focusing on recruiting much.
