Three-Star Junior Interested In Iowa

Lincolnshire (IL) Stevenson junior defensive tackle Nick Dillon only holds one offer but a few other schools are expressing interest as well. One of them is Iowa and the Hawkeyes have hosted the three-star prospect on a couple visits already.

2015 Lincolnshire (IL) Stevenson defensive tackle Nick Dillon has had Iowa as a school of interest since his recruitment began. He's already been to Iowa City a few times and was on campus again for a visit this season.

"It was a real good visit to Iowa," said Dillon. "I went out there a few weeks ago. I got a chance to see a real high energy Big Ten game at Kinnick Stadium."

"I was able to meet with the entire coaching staff," he added. "I also was able to meet with Mark Weisman who has had a great season. He went to my high school so it was great to see him again. It was just an overall quality visit that both me and my father enjoyed."

The interest from Iowa's end has not waned at all. The Hawkeyes hope that Dillon remains in touch.

"They want me to keep calling them and to stay in contact," Dillon pointed out. "They want me to keep showing interest before they are to offer. If they offer in a week or after my senior year, it won't matter because Iowa is a great place with great academics and I'll always take that into consideration."

"Iowa is definitely in the mix right now," he continued. "I'm considering a few other schools still as well.

One of the reasons why Dillon has continued to think about Iowa in terms of his future is the way they've played this season. The three-star junior defensive tackle believes the future is bright for the Hawkeyes.

"They have played pretty good this season," he stated. "I've been impressed. They have some very good recruits coming in as well and are doing a good job of beginning to build their 2015 class. Jack Beneventi is my friend and he's also a prospect Iowa is targeting. That shows me that they're planning ahead and I like that."
