Meeker Wants Iowa Offer

Cedar Rapids (IA) junior offensive tackle Bryce Meeker is set to focus on his recruitment once again as the dead period comes to a close. An Iowa offer is one he was waiting on.

2015 Cedar Rapids (IA) Prairie offensive tackle Bryce Meeker is ready to start to focus his attention back on his recruitment. He currently holds two offers but is hopeful another one isn't far away.

"I have been offered so far by Illinois State and Northern Iowa," said Meeker. "I'm hoping for an Iowa offer, though. I have been talking to them weekly. It's the dead period now so things have slowed down. I'm looking forward to making a few visits in the Spring."

Iowa assistant coach Reese Morgan has been the one expressing interest in Meeker.

"Coach Morgan has been the one in contact," Meeker told Scout.. "He has just been telling me they are very interested and will continue to evaluate me. He's a great guy and I have a great relationship with a few of the coaches at Iowa."

The Hawkeyes would be in great position if they were to offer Meeker. Their history of producing talent along the offensive line is a big reason why.

"I really like how well they develop their offensive line," he noted. "They're the best at that. The offensive line gets noticed there and they get a lot better while there. I want to be as good as I can and I feel like Iowa could help me do that."

"I'd definitely be set if I got the offer from Iowa," admitted Meeker. "I'd be tempted to commit if they offered. I probably would commit."
