Murray (IA) junior outside linebacker Seth Nerness was one of the many attendees at the junior day in Iowa City yesterday.
The in-state prospect has heard from Iowa quite a bit and was able to use the visit to better acquaint himself with the program.
"It was a pretty good visit," Nerness said. "It was very productive. It was a good time and real informative as well. I learned a lot about the program. They even talked to us about being careful on social media."
The Iowa native was able to sit in with the linebackers and position coach and learn how they operate.
"I enjoyed sitting in on position meetings," Nerness told Scout. "It was cool to see how they break things down. It's definitely on another level from what I'm used to and the organization is off the charts."
Nerness does not hold an offer from Iowa but is interested in the Hawkeyes.
"We didn't really talk about a possible offer," he noted. "I just made sure to enjoy myself, got to know the coaches, and wanted to get a good idea of what the program was about."
The 2015 linebacker does not have any other visits scheduled at this time.
