Iowa Offer Could Be Close

2015 Naperville (IL) Central middle linebacker says Iowa is a program he could himself at after his visit to check out the Hawkeyes yesterday. An offer could be close.

Naperville (IL) Central middle linebacker Bobby McMillen spent yesterday checking out Iowa City for a junior day visit. He spent some time with the current players and used it to his advantage.

It was a very good visit," he said. "I had an awesome time. I definitely liked being able to ask the players questions about the school. It's always good to hear the players' perspective on academics and athletics on the program. There was so many positive aspects about Iowa that I was told."

McMillen also got a sneak peak at the new facilities being built and was able to hang out in the meeting room with his possible future position coach.

"We took a virtual tour of the new complex they're building which was very cool," he informed Scout. "It's going to be state of the art. We also got to sit in and see what position meetings are like with our position coaches."

The 2015 Illinois prospect was also able to speak with the Hawkeyes' head coach as well to discuss a possible offer.

"I talked to head coach Kirk Ferentz and he said they're very close to offering," mentioned McMillen. "I feel that once I build a better personal relationship with the coaching staff an offer will come. Until then, I'm just going to stay in contact with the coaches and keep working out. I will train to get ready for the next level."

Iowa left a lasting impression on McMillen.

"I met a lot of great people," he stated. "I learned a lot about the campus and the football program. It is definitely a school I can see myself at in a few years."
